I booked my new tattoo! It is of HOPEY <3333333 from the most amazingest comic which is Love and Rockets. I am excited :D its not til the 17th of feb though, coulda been sooner but rach wanted hers on a saturday and that was the next free saturday.
Folk punk in bradford was fun. Though Russ Substance was the only good folk punker, the rest were pretty annoying - seemed to be just copying the american folk punk badly, felt false and nasty. There was this trip hop group that were pretty good too though.
Read 6 books in a week! Get that you lot :-o

just a quick update. feeling ill and nasty. right annoying. was starting to feel good on saturday daytime, but then going out in the rain to the gig (which was also full of other ill people) brought it back worse. so I'm spending time wandering round the house in smelly pyjamas clutching snotty hankies. finding different rooms to lie in to read/watch cartoons.
leave me music recommendations. because!

Bit of a long time no update eh? Well things have been good. Feeling kinda ill again at the moment again though, I've had this cold thing just coming and going for months I think. Shitey shitey.
Had practice toady for the first time in agees, I well needed it! We're recording some stuff on sunday, should be good, I'll have to spend tomorrow being a bedroom bass star so I get it completely down.
Oh yeah, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Lets hope 2007 is a great one for us all eh? NYE was alotta fun, but then got well upset/angry at about 5.30 and stormed off. What a dummy. New Years Resolution #1 - don't storm off anymore, at least tell people I'm leaving (yeah early hours of jan 1st don't count hah!). Lots more better and fun resolutions, but I don't feel like writing here cos the comps making me head hurt.
ps. Fucked Up on 30th were well good!
pps. working on a new zine to keep me busy, want it to be longer than usual, and to cover lots. contribute stuff yeah? let me know if you'd like to!

For some reason I started making a list of all the bands I've seen in 2006, its not complete though, its funny that some of these seem sooo long ago - can't believe it was still this year! hmm... best band? dunno! I know which I saw most though - big difference and the hyenas, about a billion times each!!
bickles cab, sangre, after the massacre, mel gimpsuit, hangover heart attack, chiggy chone, the hyenas, thumbs of doom, lokal disorder, big difference, fucked up, bruce banner, ghost/bastard, eastfield, this system kills, mutley, black bats, power corrupts, up late, arguments, sempe fi, leftover crack, mdc, bsd, king blues, against me, defiance, ohio, lake me, murder by death, extinction of mankid, filthpact, tens, bumsnogger, tight brown, black eye riot, bison, against all authority, good clean fun, hiroshima babies, kakistocracy, mass genocide process, witch hunt, drei, j'm'enfous, storm the keep, boycunt, drongos for europe, w.o.r.m, bait, heartfelt, paul carter, idiots intoxicated, cunts, pog, the plight, mcd, baracka, infested, brain dead, you're smiling now but we'll all turn into demons, get stuffed, dreams are free motherfucker, superficial heroes, fastpoint, inner terrestrials, sonic boom six,
anyway, xmas was good. I'll update properly sometime soon. got lethal cramps right now, but its good cos I've been waiting for like 3 months ish for this. just when I thought I was gettin regular.
ps. I got a wok and a sleeping bag! they are rockin. pps. what are yous lot doing for new years eve? ppps. I also got a mug that holds like, more than a pint! its taken my tea intake to a whole new level.
EDIT: I found this picture on Rach's myspace and thought I'd share it, because you prolly don't even know what I look like, and it makes me happy. So here we are mashed up at the GASH party from earlier this month. I'm the one with the cherry lambrini, obv.

My "good friend" told me that he's gonna look back in 5 years and see what a peice of scum I've become. And that I should go fuck my smelly punk friends. And go pull some niggers (his words, obv) on london road. And that I'm a dirty ho. Uh...yeah. And to make it extra funny I haven't even had more than a kiss in 7 months. What a fucking dick. Our friendship has been fucking shambles for so long, but I always end up coming round and giving it another shot. This is it now, with LiveJournal as my witness, I'm done with him for good.
Its just so annoying when things like this happen and you have mutual friends. Most of them wouldn't believe me if I told them, he'll probably go off telling some story that I dumped him for new 'cooler' friends or summin. Oh well I guess, theres only one mutual friend that I care about, and I reckon she'll still be here for me.
Apart from that things are good. Feel a bit ill, flu shite. But its better today than before. Got ace books out from the library so I'm keeping busy with them. Gig on sunday was actually good, the other two bands were MINT! Like reeeaallly good, best gig I've been to in a little while I think. Gig on monday was mehish, enjoyed Big Difference but wasn't too arsed about the rest.
Fuck the haters, innit.

Urk. I HATE winter. It makes me want to not do anything atall. If I had it my way I would not leave the house until spring. I would just sit wrapped up in bed drinking tea, reading, drawing, writing and watching comedy. Urghurghurgh.
Got a gig tonight. Will be weird cos Kiff and Pancho aren't here. I should be looking forward to it, but instead I'm just looking forward to getting home afterwards and curling up with tea and comics. LAME. Eh, I'll probably feel better when I'm there, hopefully.

So not had a proper update for a bit.
Saturday was good, free vegan food fayre! Sooo much amazing food! Really, so nice to have the option to eat EVERYTHING instead of having to be 'ummm what have you got thats suitable for vegans?'. Saying that I didn't eat that much haha. Stood behind food for an hour and a bit answering questions and whatever, but really people were mostly fine just helpin themselves so went out and flyered for a while - fun! Was masterful at getting people to take em. But then my skillz faded and some guy took a flyer and threw it straight on the floor - called 'bellend' after him, nice one. Came back and ate soup, weiner/pineapple/cheese on sticks, chocolate and amaaazing cheesecake.
Abortion rights benefit gig later on. Was pretty funny. But then suddenly I felt down as fook and left. Dunno what that was all about. Went home had tea and bourbons and cheered up.
Parents went to Germany on sunday, woohoo freehouse. Means I get to sleep in a proper bed! And the room has curtains too so I can sleep til all hours. Thats probably a bad thing though, I've been going to bed at around 5am and then getting up at 12. Plus it means the kitchen is always free and not full of half eaten gross meat, so I've been cooking like a mofo. Also been being a total nerd with my brother, too much fun! Watched A Room For Romeo Brass (i think thats what it was called) earlier, and it was ace. Aaron's back in Sheff so is coming round in a bit. Gonna hangout and drink Lambrini and cider and vodka. Inabit.

Ey ey. So, a pretty uneventful week so far really.
Monday I went to Chesterfield, and got a travel mug that DOESN'T make my drinks taste like plastic - yessss! Now bring on cups of tea on the move and drinking cider in public without being branded a scumbag/getting your bottle taken off you by the polis.
Tuesday was the free gig at DnR. Which only 2 bands played, heh, The Hyenas & Semper Fi. The Hyenas always make me chuckle, in a good way. Semper Fi... ah well, I'm glad it wasn't a pay in gig! Danced the macarena with Co-co and tried to convince others to join in. Haha! Stuck around for a bit then went home, Jez stayed round for a bit - laughed at straight edge zines and stuff. Was ace, think I had a bit of a bitch about some people that I don't care for. Which sometimes is needed. Wednesday & Thursday felt ill :( well annoying cos it meant I missed out on Kathleen's leaving thing, The Horror gig, and the Foie Gras demo. Boo!
Tomorrow I'm off to Manchester for that Gash collective party (any o yous lot going?). Sounds acee. Probably staying at Aarons til monday, should be good, need to be out of this house and sheff for a few days to remain sane. Although student fucking halls will probably make me feel even worse.

Ayo, thursday went to Hopskotch with Rach, Jez and some others. Danced for hours drunkenly to ska and then got up chucked out for puking (in the toilet, not the floor or owt, ridiculous). Shame.
Friday was corp with Aaron and Rach. Argh, rank cassini, vodka and alcopops outside before hand, then too many sambucas, vodka and a pill inside. Was alot of fun until me and Aaron decided to be nobheads like we usually are - Idunno what it is, we are best mates and care about eachother sooo much but somehow we always end up exploding at eachother. When we're sober we can usually stop it early and agree that its pointless, but when we're out of our heads its a whole different thing. Anyway after lots of crying and screaming we made up somehow. Most of all I am just sorry to poor Rachel who was standing around through all this waiting for us two bastards to come to our senses so we could all get back to kip at mine. Got back, Rach slept, me and Az stayed up talking til 6, was good, got to talk alot of things that have been getting me down lately, so yeah in all it ended okay!
Saturday I was just exhausted. Missed out on the gig cos I couldn't bear to stand for more than 15 minutes. Lay wrapped up in a duvet and watched Touching The Void.
Today I'm still sore as fook, took a bath and realised that I am indeed covered in bruises and scratches. If I didn't know better I'd swear someone beat me up. Read, drew, drunk lots of tea and ate lots of houmous. Noiice.

Allo. I'm still in pyjamas, which pretty much sums up the past few days. I've been doing not much of anything other than reading, watching cartoons with my brother and pacing around the house. I really should be sorting out my room - giving masses of old clothes and teddys to charity, deciding what I actually need and all - but everytime I start I end up wandering away after 15minutes. See I am moving out! To squat with Kiff and Paul and whoever else if theres been another taker. I'm excited, I think I really need to get away from this house to kindof 'start a new chapter' (cheeeese!), cos here at the moment it sort of feels like I'm just on some long break from college or summin, just waiting for some routine to kick back in. Telling my parents was yikey, but not too much. Mama was very teary and 'ahhh you're not my little baby anymore' 'why didn't I appreciate every moment you were living here' and stuff, but took the squatting part alot better than I thought they might.
Saturday was the matinee gig hah. Before hand me and Rach and Jack met to be dev scum and drink alcohol on the shelter outside yuppie apartments opposite dev green - one of my favourite activities! Eventually the police stole our booze (and accused us of going to K-corp, WHAT AN INSULT?!?! do I really look like an underage mosh child??) but we retrieved it from the bins whilst they were harrassing actual mosh kids, hah. Got to the gig early, talked to good people and got to tell this guy off for shouting 'ANTI-FLAG ARE SELLOUTZ!!' at Jack when he was covered in sellout bands himself :D We were kinda in and out alot so I can only recall seeing The Hyenas and Big Difference, enjoyed em both indeed. More good talking. Thumbs up basically.
Then we went to Big Al's party. This is the first time I've been to a party in sososo long, usually every time I get asked to go to one it is going to be full of people that I dislike so I make an excuse to not show up. But anyway, I went and it was pretty fun - got to hit balloons around, wear some sick pink glasses (that rach nicked off with grr) and talk to some good people. Left early, Rach and Jack came back to mine, it was nice actually being the host rather than kipping on someone elses floor.
Thats enough for now then.

Ay Ay. Today was good. Woke up earlyish, stayed tucked up in bed and read some Lovecraft for a while. Got up and walked to town, nicked me a sketch book and a good pen to get me motivated to draw comics again (it worked! I'd scan em up but our scanner's broken.) then to the library to borrow graphic novels. Its a little annoying reading Sandman so out of order, but still amazing.
When I got home my parents asked me if I'd like to come along on a walk with them, went out to the peak district, near a place call Calver I think. Nice walk, and got to see this shitty quarry. Then a pub for a pint of Strongbow and a chip butty!
Tomorrow should've been visiting johnny_copper for museums, zinemaking and drunkeness but stupid DWP are being craptastic. So no money to get there.
Sunday went for the 'vegan breakfast' at the bohemian cafe. Utter shite! For £3.80 you'd be expecting like veggie sausages and stuff innit? But it was just tiny dollops of beans, mushrooms, 'hash browns' (they were NOT), half a tomato and some crap slightly toasted bread. Then we went to the park where I saw a dog that looked to me like a tiny horse, this has got me started on imagining a whole little magical world - amazing!

Tuesday I ended up going to manchester, which was a nice surprise. My parents were going for some concert so as I had nothing planned I figured I go too! And it was well good! Made it to the basement this time, unfortunately they weren't serving food, but had a look around and had a nice cuppa. Awesome place! Then went to that Fred Aldous art supply place across the road (thankyou Kathleen for the advice!), haha Aaron was well having a laugh at me cos I was like 'wowowowowow'. Chilled out with Aaron and had a general good time.
Yesterday felt ill as fook again. Stayed in bed, read, knit, drunk a bottle of cider cos I got fed up. It made me feel normal though. Normal as in not ill, not as in drunk. Went to sleep hugging a cuddly toy and listening to 'my naughty little sister' on tape. Nice, I'm gonna do that far more often.

Ja, halloween was ace. I got dressed up as an undead granny, went to the free gig at the DnR and got utterly wasted. Haha, seriously, far too much cider. By the end of the night I seemed to think it was a great idea to put a beer bottle in my pants to look like a fake penis. Whywhywhy? anyway, twas a lot of fun! What did yous get up to?
Today consisted of mostly sleeping. I put together the new Fatty Boom Boom, copies will be made tomorrow, lemme know if you would like one!
Also, I have a new email address zines_and_tea@hotmail.co.uk A bit of annoying kerfuffle really, but animail is closing the domain I use and is switching to some google system. Its kinda good though cos my old account is so swamped with spam, like all this nonsense stuff that doesn't even attempt to sell you somthing/make you download viruses. So yeah, update your address books!

Didn't make it to Bradford. Booo.
But twas still a good weekend indeed. The gig on friday was well funny, this band called Black Eye Riot have these bloody hillarious singers, including this old pissed guy who keeps lifting his arms in the air (you know like you do when your cheering) with this 'I'm king of the world' expression on his face. Tight Brown were good, and uhh Bumsnogger I thought were just kinda boring.
King Blues on sunday were ace. The other bands not so much, although they weren't crap or owt.
Halloween! But I'm not doing the dead cop cos I don't actually have anything that I need (I thought that other than the helmet I'd have everything lying about the house somewhere) and I think it deserves to be done properly. So, that'll be saved for the next dress up opportunity.
Sorry for not keeping up with most of your journals, our computuer should be fixed tomorrow though.
Now to go home and COOK!

Hallo! So, Manchester was alright. Defiance, Ohio were ace :D Just being with Aaron at his student friends was just weird. I mean it was just a few fucking days, so I shouldn't be so arsed, but unless I was really fucking high I just felt so out of place. And me and aaron, ehh, I mean I'm glad we're still friends but it would be such a lie to say we're anywhere near as great as what we used to be. It's good though, I think we've both become closer to being the people we actually want to.
My bro broke the computer while I was away, so I'm writing this at the library. Gig at cricketers tonight if I can find £3. Tomorrow I badly want to get to Bradford to see Witch Hunt and Imperial Leather, but I don't have the money! I'm gonna go up to the cash converters in woodseats to sell some DVDs, apparently they don't ask for ID (I have ID, I just don't have an official dated letter that proves I live where I say I do >_<) so fingers crossed I'll get enough. Anyone else going - lemme know (07946378042).

Just a quick post, cos I'ma geek and like to keep entries of all the gigs I go to...
We were on first, and uhh yeah I had alot of fun playing! I fucked up a few times, but hopefully it wasn't too noticable. Didn't really feel so nervous which was good =)
Filthpact were awweeesome. Really really enjoyed them indeed.
Extinction of Mankind were okay but ehh, they dragged on, a lot. And they didn't even play Arise! haha.
And the band downstairs who'd only play wolfman! Crazy!
Off to the bus station now, so farewell! (I managed to get up at 6.30, well done me)
